Taking care of equipment and keeping work safe
While this task might sound a lot like health and safety, it's really quite different. This task is all about how you make sure you computer doesn't break and how to keep your work really safe. I'll give you some examples, your job is to think of some more and fill in lots of detail - make this another half page at least.- Keep food and drink away from the computer - you could wreck the keyboard or more
- Put CDs in a case so they don't get scratched.
- Floppy disks can get damaged by magnets or the big CRT screens.
- Make sure your work is backed up - think about how the best way to do this is
- In a thunderstorm, unplug the PC or it could get fried by lightning!
