This task is about viruses, or more accurately, malware - malicious programs, software that does something with your computer that you as the owner do not want to happen.True "viruses" are rare in modern computers, but trojans and worms are known as viruses to most people and do huge amounts of damage to systems. Find out some very detailed information about viruses, trojans and worms at wikipedia or look at the teach-ict virus mini-site for something easier to digest!
You can take many simple steps to prevent getting infected, including running anti-virus software, a firewall and anti-spyware software; installing all updates to your computer; and not opening files you do not trust from email, instant messenger or peer-to-peer software (like limewire).
For this task, write at least half a page describing what a virus is, how to prevent getting one and what to do if you do get one. Use the internet to get lots more information that I've given you here, use examples of your own experience to make it really good!
